• Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc keys simultaneously on your Keyboard.
• This will navigate you to the Task Manager window.
• Tap on the File menu.
• Click the Run New Task option. This will navigate you to the new window to create a new task.

• Type rdclip.exe and check on the checkbox “Create this task with administrative privileges”; Tap on OK.

• Exit from the Task Manager.
• Go to the Windows/system 32 directory on the C:/Drive. There, search the  rdclip.exe file in it and right-click on it. Next, tap on the option run as administrator. The issue will be resolved; check it once.

(c) Using Registry Editor:

If the rdclip.exe does not restart as an Administrator, you can start using the Register Editor another way.

• Press the Windows & R keys from the Keyboard to get Run.
• Type regedit on the textbox and hit OK.

• Next, go with the path below in the Register Editor window. Observe the menu in the left side panel and go with the path below:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\Winstations\RDP-Tcp

• Search and choose the option fDisableClip and right-click on it.
• Tap on the Modify option.

• A pop-up will appear and change the value to “0“. And save and exit from there.

• The problem will be resolved.

This process will start on the System Start. If not, you have to run the program like this. If it is not starting on Windows startup, you can add it to the Windows Startup Programs with High priority.

(d) on Command Prompt:

You can do this task by using the Command Prompt. After opening the command prompt, you just stop the task with the kill command and restart it again. The commands to kill and restart are given below:

To kill the task:

• Tap the Windows & R Keys simultaneously from your Keyboard to get Run.
• Type cmd on the text box and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter keys at a time from your Keyboard.
• This will navigate you to the Command Prompt as Administrator.

• Type taskkill.exe /F /IM rdpclip.exe 
• This will stop the task completely.

• After that command, you can activate the file again.
• Type rdpclip.exe

• Write msconfig in the text box and click on OK.

• The System Configuration window will appear.
• Choose the General tab, and you have to click on the radio buttons of these options like Load Startup Items, Load System Services, and Use Original boot configuration.

• In that window only, you have to choose the Services tab.
• There, Check the checkbox with the option Hide Startup Components, which is at the bottom. Click on the Disable All Button, and Save it & exit from there.

• Now, reboot the System; the System will go to the Clean startup.
• Mostly the problem will be resolved.

Method #24. System Restore

If the Copy/Paste is not working, the problem is not resolved yet. Sometimes, this problem is caused by system changes. You can restore the System restore and return to the latest system changes.

Generally, you will not lose any files, photos, images, or personal data. This will undo the changes done just before and return the previous state to us, which the System restored recently. It may be before a week or a few days.

Follow the step-by-step procedure to get the System restore:

• Type the Recovery in the search bar near the windows key.
• Click on the Recovery icon; it will navigate to the window.

• Tap on the System Restore.
• Choose a different restore point tab and tap on next.

• A dialogue box will appear to confirm the System Restore. Just tap on YES to initiate the System Restore process.
• After completion of the process, the problem will be resolved completely.

Method #25. Windows Update

If the Copy/Paste problem has not been resolved, the issue will be fixed using a Windows update. You can do the process as like below:

• Press the Windows + I Keys from your Keyboard to initiate the Windows Settings.

• Choose the Update & Security Category in it.

• Choose the Windows Update tab in the menubar present at the left side menu.
• Tap on the Check for Updates button.

• This will initiate and search for the latest update of the Windows. Then, you can download and install the latest version of Windows. After completion of the process, Reboot the device. After the fresh start of your PC, the Copy/ Paste function will work confidently.

Method #26. Use third-party Apps

If the problem is not resolved, you can try to use third-party clipboard apps. Comfort Clipboard is one of the tools like that. This will help you to do work with the Copy-Paste functions. This will perform these functions along with editing so quickly. It will allow you to edit the clipboard. Customize it as you like. For example, Bold, hide or apply colour to some text fragments.

Set the hotkeys to paste the fragment or some part of the text. It will maintain the history feature for the Copy-paste function. When and where have you used it? And which text you have copied? You check on the history feature, allowing you to search for the previously copied text. You can set the Hotkeys to them. This is a paid app but has a free version to use. You can try it once.
